Public Housing Program
The Adams County Housing Authority (ACHA) has 42 one-bedroom units of Public Housing at Casa Redonda de Vigil, located in unincorporated Adams County. The 42-unit community is reserved for residents who are disabled or 62 years of age or older.
Public housing is limited to families and individuals whose income is less than program income limits. Each adult member is subject to a criminal background check. ACHA’s Public Housing development, CASA Redonda de Vigil, is only available to residents who are disabled or over the age of 62 years.
Public Housing assistance is available as long as the family/individual remains eligible and occupies the offered unit. Currently, public housing assistance through the Adams County Housing Authority is not transferable.
Tenant rent is based on 30% of the family's adjusted gross monthly income. Residents sign a dwelling lease for the unit and pay their portion of the rent directly to ACHA.
Applicants who meet program eligibility are placed on a waitlist. When an opening occurs, the next person is contacted and offered the unit, subject to verification of continued program eligibility.
Applications are currently available and accepted at 7190 Colorado Blvd., Commerce City, CO 80022.
