Resident Community Builder
The Adams County Housing Authority (ACHA) is seeking an outgoing, professional, self starter for the Resident Programs Department.
This position provides and monitors self sufficiency and to aid in the prevention of homelessness by providing, case management, crisis intervention and community building, working with a diverse underserved population.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in human services, social work, psychology or related field
• Two years experience in case management, building community partnerships and development, working with a diverse, socio-economically challenged population
• Ability to participate in a variety of community based committees, develop and perform enrichment workshops
• Must be highly organized, able to work independently, efficient time management and multi tasking skills, demonstrate leadership and to be a self starter
• Experience in utilizing data base systems, providing detailed documentation
• Knowledge working with local, state and federal government grant programs, non profit organizations and grant reporting experience
Description:
Performs intensive case management services to low income families and seniors in ACHA’s subsidized housing programs and properties. Participates on various government and community committees, meetings and partnerships to develop and enhance the self sufficiency programs to include; TBRA, FSS, Public Housing, Section 8, and our Senior Public Housing Property.
Facilitate community meetings and workshops at ACHA properties and the community at large.
